Ah, July to mid August. The sun’s blazing, the workshop’s baking, and we hit pause.
Every year, we take July and part of August off from custom orders.
That’s our summer break to recharge, explore, and get inspired.
My Crafting Journey
From Live Events to Handmade Treasures
After 35 years in the live event industry, from starting as a small side hustle that grew into an award-winning production company. I sold the business after 17 incredible years of producing and designing events and festivals throughout Arizona, specializing in stage and lighting design.
Now semi-retired, I’ve embraced a more creative and balanced lifestyle, joining my wife in her craft business, Teresa’s Desert Treasures.
Together, we combined our passions to expand into a new venture—Cactus Crafter—a hands-on brand where I bring my love for design to a smaller, more personal scale.
Photography remains a core passion of mine—especially landscapes, nighttime scenes, concerts, sports, and astrophotography. I’ve also delved into woodworking, cutting boards, laser cutting and engraving, 3D printing, and custom sign making.
Every product is a creative journey, and with each new piece, I find inspiration to explore even more.
You can find Teresa’s Desert Treasures and Cactus Crafter at two Painted Tree locations in Arizona: Gilbert (Space B7) and Chandler (Space F30).
